Norfolk Circular Walks

76. The Lizard

This quiet Wymondham conservation area following the upper valley of the River Tiffey includes a small community of historic cottages.

The Lizard Trustees have established the Lizard Walk, a circular route about 1½ miles long, through the Lizard, along a public footpath to the former Wymondham-Forncett railway line, and back by way of the embankment. Two flights of steps and river bridges have been provided to give access.

The Trustees have received generous help and advice from Norfolk County Council. Co-operation from the neighbouring landowner, across whose land the walk passes, and from Friends of the Earth, who are trustees of the old railway embankment, has made the establishment of the walk possible.
